2015 Teen Choice Awards

This year, the hairstyles at the Teen Choice Awards were all about mixing flirty and fun with sophistication. Whether it was paired with a unique colorful dress or bright makeup, the hairstyles of the Teen Choice Awards were on trend and looked fabulous. Here are some of the most talked about celebrities from the Teen Choice Awards and how to achieve their flawless hairstyles.

Lea Michele

Lea Michele is stunning. She could be rocking out on Glee or strutting the red carpet at the Teen Choice Awards – regardless she always looking amazing. Her beachy, loose curls and bronzed makeup is perfect for any occasion where you want that natural sun kissed glow.

Get the look:

  1. By using a 1 inch curling wand, curl pieces of hair away from your face.

  2. Start with 1 inch of hair wrapped around the barrel and alternate between curling smaller pieces at a time as you move throughout your hair. This gives your curls a more relaxed look.

  3. Brush out the curls with your fingers to loosen the waves.

  4. Part your hair down the middle.

  5. Section off 2 pieces of hair and braid towards the back. Pin with bobby pins.

Zendaya played up her ruffled gown with a slicked back top knot and natural makeup. Her hairstyle was polished and sophisticated, but didn’t take away from her detailed dress.

Get the look:

  1. Apply a small amount of hair gel throughout your hair.

  2. Pull your hair back into a tight bun, and secure with bobby pins or a clear elastic.

  3. To get the wet, slick look- apply a small amount of gel to the top of your head (the sections leading into the bun) and spray with hairspray.

Sarah Hyland

Sarah kept her look simple to go with her bright colored romper. Her laidback waves added texture to her hair, while her simple makeup highlighted her bold red lip.

Get the look:

  1. Use a 1 inch curling wand to curl pieces of your hair. If you want Sarah’s messy look, leave some pieces of hair natural and don’t apply heat.

  2. Brush out your curls with your fingers to loosen them and make them into waves.

  3. Add a thin french braid next to your part (a side part works best for this look). If you can’t french braid, a simple braid will work too!

  4. Use hairspray for more volume.

Bella Thorne

Bella Thorne rocked loose waves to compliment her busy, bright orange dress. She paired her hair with natural makeup, focused around a neutral smokey eye and nude lip.

Get the look:

  1. By using a 1 ½ inch curling iron, curl pieces of hair away from your face.

  2. Brush out the curls with your fingers to loosen the waves.

  3. Pull most of your hair to one side, and secure with bobby pins (stick to pins that match your hair color so they blend in).

  4. For extra volume, tease the top of your hair around your part.

  5. Spray with hairspray.
