Sick of trying hundreds of styling products that aren’t doing the trick? Foods like salmon, sardines, and mackerel are rich with omega-3 fatty acids, which your body doesn’t produce- your only source is through food or supplements, so eat up to give your hair more shine.

Another way to add shine is to eat lots of sweet potatoes, which are filled with beta carotene, an antioxidant that helps the glands in your scalp make an oily fluid called sebum necessary for hydration. This helps protect against dry, dull hair, and adds shine to your locks.



If you have been trying to grow your hair out but it feels like it is taking ages, it may be because your diet lacks protein and the vitamin B5. Greek yogurt is rich in both these nutrients, and also has pantothenic acid which helps fight hair thinning and loss.
