Weekday Beauty Looks Inspired by Fashion Week

Seeing the latest trends on the runway always inspires us at the Style Bar. We always look at the latest and greatest in the fashion world and think of the ways we can bring them to our lovely clients – meaning you!

Straight off the runway from New York Fashion week here are some of our favorite (and practical) makeup looks that you can use everyday.

No Makeup: I know – we can’t believe it either. But the models on the Marc Jacobs runway were actually makeup free. And man, were they gorgeous! Even if you can’t be totally makeup free, just apply some lotion, a strong concealer or foundation, and let the rest stay natural.

Glitter Eye: Glamour Magazine brought this up too, but that little sparkle around the eye, whether it’s eyeliner or some loose powder, does wonders to your daytime look.

Rose: The color rose is showing up everywhere. We are used to seeing it on models cheeks, but it’s making an appearance (in a big way) on the eyes too! Tory Burch used this look on her runway. Makeup artist Diane Kendal said that Tory loved how “natural and effortless” this look was.

Pastel Eyes: We like what we saw on the runway at Derek Lam, a very light application of pastel color (he did purple) that brings some interest and depth to your makeup. We think this could be a great style enhancement to your work look – just don’t go overboard!
